Consulting only works when both sides know which stage they are in. Portal Valley uses four stages for AI-assisted internal tool programmes. You can enter at the stage that matches reality — we will say if you skipped one.
Fit conversation
A short call to hear the process, the owners, and any prototype already in play. Outcome: go, wait, or redirect. No proposal theatre.
Discovery advisory
Interviews, fitness review, and a build-ready brief for one process. This is our flagship consultation and the usual entry for new clients.
Build guidance
While your engineers implement, we keep office hours and decision memos so cut calls stay tied to the brief instead of drifting toward demo features.
Readiness checkpoint
Before wider rollout, a focused review of data paths, human review gaps, and failure modes — especially if the prototype arrived before we did.
What we need from you
A named process owner, access to anonymised examples, and permission to speak with the people who do the work — not only the sponsors. Without those, discovery stalls and we will pause rather than invent certainty.
